The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a general score of 75.8, which is a lot better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's 60.8 global score. Both of these devices work with Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has newer 4.4.2 version while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2 version. Although the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) and the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 were only released with a couple of months difference, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014)'s construction is somewhat thinner but also noticeably heavier than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with a processor that's very similar to Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014)'s processing unit, and although the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores and a 450 MHz GPU. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a little bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), because although it has a way worse resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a quite greater pixels density.
