The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) features a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has a slower graphics processing unit working at 450 megahertz, and they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) also counts with a higher amount of RAM.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has an incredibly better looking display than Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a larger display, a lot greater number of pixels per inch in the display and a way better 1600 x 2560 resolution. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) counts with a much bigger storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy Note 8.0, and although they both have a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 64 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) also has 32 GB internal storage capacity.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 takes clearer pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), although it has a way worse 1280x720 video definition and a lot less mega-pixels back-facing camera. Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a much better battery performance than Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has 8220mAh of battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy Note 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Note 8.0. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy Note 8.0, resigning some features and specs.
