The Galaxy Note 8.0 is a newer tablet, and it's also somewhat thinner and extremely lighter than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. Both of these devices have Android OS, but the Galaxy Note 8.0 has newer 4.4.2 version while Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has Android 4.4 version.
