Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Review

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is an amazing tablet device launched back in the year 2012, counting with a high performance 1400 MHz Quad-Core CPU, a really big 10.1-inches multi-touch screen and a 5 megapixels back camera. But it's time to get into some more details.

Samsung decided to design this device using a Samsung Exynos 4 (4412) chip, holding a high-tech 1.4 GHz Quad-Core processing unit with a large 2 GB RAM. A key aspect of this tablet is its large 32 GB internal storage and an SD memory card expansion slot, allowing the user to install lots of applications, games, songs, photos and videos without even thinking about running out of space at all.

This tablet is very thin and good-looking, being just 0.35" thick. The Note 10.1 is only 10.31" long and 7.09 inches wide, but it is able to fit a a 10.1" display. It appears that Samsung forgot about optimizing the weight in this 21.16 oz device.

The Note 10.1 only features a 5 megapixels back-facing camera. This tablet also shoots 1280x720 HD videos. Additionally, the camera includes a few nice features: flash, auto-focus and geo tagging.

This tablet is equipped with an average 10.1-inches display with a 800 x 1280 resolution, which makes all images and videos look nice. Its display uses Super PLS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 counts with a high capacity 7000 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery that provides this tablet an impressive battery duration. An issue to evaluate is that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1's battery is non-removable so you can't buy a new battery when it begins to live shorter, even though with such a huge battery size you will probably discard this tablet before that becomes a real problem.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 counts with Wi-Fi connectivity (although it can't share it with other devices around, as a mobile mobile hotspot), 4G (HSPA+) connectivity, which is not so fast as LTE networks and fast 3G connectivity, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This tablet uses a SIM card to connect to GSM networks.

This tablet also comes with a couple of nice features like Infrared Transmitter, Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Geolocation, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Samsung offers this tablet for 575 dollars, which is not cheap for comparing with other similar devices. If you want this tablet to take lots of photos, will use it as a social tablet, will use it as a gaming tablet or want it for work, you will probably be very happy with this tablet device.
