Comparison review

Galaxy Note 8.0 has an overall score of 69.2, which is better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's score of 60.8. Even though the Galaxy Note 8.0 and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 were released with only 7 months difference, the Galaxy Note 8.0 design is a little bit heavier but thinner than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. Both of these devices use Android OS, but the Galaxy Note 8.0 has 4.4.2 version while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features just a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, although it has a worse 450 MHz graphics co-processor, they both have 2 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a lot better screen than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a much higher 1200 x 1920px resolution and a way higher amount of pixels per inch in the screen.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 shoots much clearer videos and photos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with a much better memory to store more apps and games than Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 has a much better battery lifetime than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
