Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has a global score of 69.2, which is much better than the Asus VivoTab RT's 61 score. Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 works with Android 4.4.2 OS, while Asus VivoTab RT works with Windows RT OS. Although the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 and the Asus VivoTab RT were released only a couple of months apart, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is extremely lighter and just a little thinner.
Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a faster CPU than Asus VivoTab RT, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has an extra graphics co-processor. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has a slightly better looking display than Asus VivoTab RT, because although it has a much smaller display and a bit lower 800 x 1280px resolution, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch of display.
Asus VivoTab RT counts with a very superior memory capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 48 GB more internal storage capacity. Galaxy Note 8.0 has a much longer battery life than Asus VivoTab RT. Asus VivoTab RT takes just a bit better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a way more mega pixels back facing camera and a way better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 costs a bit more than the Asus VivoTab RT, but you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
