Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is a little bit better than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), with a 69.2 score against 68.3. Both tablets in this comparison review include Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has the older 4.4.2 version while Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has Android 8.1 Oreo. Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0's design is just a little lighter and thinner than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), despite of the fact that it was released 6 years before.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 has a superior processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), and although they both have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has a graphics processor. The Galaxy Note 8.0 features just a bit better display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018). Both of them have a screen of the same size, exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels and the same amount of pixels in each display inch.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) captures much clearer pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, and although they both have the same resolution camera, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) also has a much higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) counts with a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 400 GB and 32 GB internal storage.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has just a bit better battery life than Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 4600mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is a better device, it is a little more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018). If you want to save some dollars, you can get the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
