The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has an overall score of 61.4, which is slightly better than HTC Flyer's 58.7 global score. Although the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is extremely heavier than the HTC Flyer, it's extremely thinner and also newer. Both of these devices come with Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a newer 4.1 version while HTC Flyer has Android 3.2 version.
HTC Flyer has a little faster processor than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a lower number of cores (although faster), and they both have a 1 GB RAM memory, the HTC Flyer also counts with an additional graphics co-processor. The HTC Flyer counts with a little sharper display than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a much lower 600 x 1024 resolution and a way smaller screen, it also counts with a bit greater pixel density.
The HTC Flyer features a much bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has an external SD slot that allows 32 GB smaller, it also counts with more internal storage. The HTC Flyer takes clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 1280x720 video resolution, the HTC Flyer also has a way higher resolution back facing camera.
The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a very superior battery lifetime than HTC Flyer, because it has a 7000mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the HTC Flyer, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC Flyer. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy HTC Flyer, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your budget.
