Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a little bit better than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), getting a 64.8 score against 61.4. Both tablets in our current comparison include Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 7.7 has 4.0.4 version while Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has Android 4.1 version. Galaxy Tab 7.7's body is somewhat thinner and extremely lighter than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), even though both were only released with a couple months difference.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with a bit better processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have the same number of cores and the same RAM memory amount, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has an extra graphics processing unit. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a much better display than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a really smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 also counts with a better pixel amount per inch of screen.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a lot bigger memory to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 32 GB against 64 GB, it also counts with 56 GB more internal storage capacity. Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) features a much longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a 7000mAh battery size against 5100mAh.
The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) features a superior camera than Galaxy Tab 7.7. Both of them have a camera with a 3 MP resolution, the same 1280x720 video definition and the same video frame rates.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), giving up a couple specs and features.
