Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, having a 61.4 score against 58.8. Both tablets in this comparison have Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a newer 4.1 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has Android 4.0, counting with some extra features. Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE features a little bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). Both have the same number of cores. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE counts with a much better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE also counts with a bit greater screen pixel density.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has more memory capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, because although it has just 8 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD card slot that admits up to 64 GB. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) takes much better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE. They have a same resolution back camera, the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition.

Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has just a little better battery duration than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, because it has a 7000mAh battery size.
