Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, with a 64.8 score against 62.7. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 construction is noticeably lighter and somewhat thinner than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, even though it was released only 13 months before. Both of these tablets have Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a more recent 4.0.4 version while Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has Android 4.0, providing some nice extra features.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 features a bit superior CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount and 2 cores, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 also has a much better graphics processing unit running at 400 megahertz. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a much better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has a lot smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 800 x 1280px resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 also counts with a better quantity of pixels per inch of screen.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. They have a same resolution camera in the back. Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a much bigger memory to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has a SD card slot that supports 32 GB smaller, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 counts with a very superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a 37% larger battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
