Comparison review
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has an overall score of 62.7, which is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab 8.9's overall score of 58.1. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1's construction is newer, but somewhat thicker and noticeably heavier than the Galaxy Tab 8.9. Both tablets we compare here come with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a more recent 4.0 version while Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0 version, so it provides a couple additional features.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a superior performance than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have a Dual-Core processor, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 also has an extra GPU. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a little more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 also counts with a little more pixels per inch in the display.
Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a much bigger storage for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. Both have a camera in the back with a 3 megapixels resolution.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 features improved battery life than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has 7000mAh of battery capacity.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is way more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, but it's still a good choice, because you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
