Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab, with a global score of 62.7 against 58.6. Both of these tablets have Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a more recent 4.0 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab has Android 2.3.3, counting with lots of additional features. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 construction is notably newer and somewhat thinner, but much heavier than Samsung Galaxy Tab.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 features a better CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has 1 more cores, more RAM and a GPU. Samsung Galaxy Tab counts with a display that's very similar to the screen in Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although the Samsung Galaxy Tab has a lot smaller screen and a way lower 600 x 1024 resolution, it also counts with a just a little greater pixels number per inch in the screen.
Samsung Galaxy Tab features a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. They have a back camera with a 3 mega pixels. Samsung Galaxy Tab counts with more storage to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 counts with a much longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab, because it has a 7000mAh battery capacity against 4000mAh.
Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy Tab, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Tab. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Samsung Galaxy Tab, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your money.
