IPad 2 has a score of 62.1, which is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s 60.7 general score. IPad 2 works with iOS 7.x OS, while Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) works with Android 4.1 OS. Although the iPad 2 is older and notably heavier than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), it's design is still thinner. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with a better display than Apple iPad 2, because although it has a lot smaller screen and a little bit lower resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels, it also counts with a greater screen pixel density.
The Apple iPad 2 counts with slightly more storage capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory. The iPad 2 counts with just a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because although it has lesser RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the iPad 2 also counts with an extra graphics processing unit.
The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) captures clearer pictures and videos than Apple iPad 2, and although they both have the same (HD) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) also has a camera in the back with a way higher resolution. IPad 2 has a way better battery duration than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a 6944mAh battery size instead of 4000mAh.
Although iPad 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the iPad 2, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), letting go some features and specifications.
