Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has a global score of 76.7, which is a lot better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE's 61.7 general score. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is a notably newer and notably thinner tablet than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, although it is also heavier. Both of these tablets have Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has newer 13 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has Android 4.1, offering some additional features and performance tweaks.
The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE counts with a much powerful processor than Galaxy Tab S8, because although it has an inferior number of cores (although they are faster) and 7 GB lesser RAM, it also counts with a graphics processor. The Galaxy Tab S8 features a superior storage for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 1 TB and more internal storage capacity.
The Galaxy Tab S8 features a much longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has 8000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
Although Galaxy Tab S8 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
