Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE's design is way older, much thicker and a bit heavier than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD. Both tablets in this review come with Android OS, but Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has older 4.1 version while Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features just a bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with 2 GB more RAM memory and a higher number of cores (and faster). Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a little bit better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a little larger display, a much better pixels number per inch of screen and a way better resolution of 1200 x 1920.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a superior memory for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has an external memory card slot that supports up to 128 GB and 16 GB internal memory capacity. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a 5100mAh battery size instead of 4000mAh.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD shoots way better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a much better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and a lot more MP camera.
Despite of being the best tablet in our current comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE is also very cheap compared to the other tablets, which makes it a great choice.
