The Apple iPad Air 2 is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, with a 79.3 score against 66.2. The Apple iPad Air 2 comes with iOS 8.x OS, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has Android 4.4.2 OS. Although Apple iPad Air 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 were only released with a couple months difference, Apple iPad Air 2's design is extremely thinner but also heavier.
The Apple iPad Air 2 features a little faster processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has less cpu cores and doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with more RAM and a 64 bits CPU. The Apple iPad Air 2 has a much better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a bigger screen, a way better 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution and a higher pixels number in each inch in the display.
IPad Air 2 takes much clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a lot better 8 MP resolution back camera and a lot better 1920x1080 video resolution. IPad Air 2 features a much better storage capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity.
IPad Air 2 has a much longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a 65 percent more battery size.
IPad Air 2 is way more expensive than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
