Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a global score of 66.2, which is better than LG G Pad 8.0's 58.6 overall score. Both tablets in this review work with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has the previous 4.4.2 version and LG G Pad 8.0 has Android 5.0. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 design is noticeably thinner and a bit lighter than the LG G Pad 8.0.
The LG G Pad 8.0 counts with a processor that is just as good as the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 one, and although the LG G Pad 8.0 has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have a 450 MHz graphics processing unit and 4 cores. LG G Pad 8.0 has a screen that's just as good as the display in Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, they have a same size screen, a higher pixel number in each display inch and the same exact 1280 x 800 resolution.
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 shoots a little bit better videos and photos than LG G Pad 8.0, although it has a lot lower (HD) video definition and a back facing camera with lot less mega pixels. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and the LG G Pad 8.0 count with very similar memory for applications and games, they have an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 64 GB and the same 16 GB internal memory.
Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with just a little bit longer battery lifetime than LG G Pad 8.0, because it has a 6% greater battery capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is more expensive than LG G Pad 8.0, but you can get a better tablet for that few more dollars.
