Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has an overall score of 66.2, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab 7.7's general score of 64.8. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0's construction has the same thickness than Galaxy Tab 7.7, but it's a bit lighter. These tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a more recent 4.4.2 version while Galaxy Tab 7.7 has Android 4.0.4 version.
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a faster 450 MHz graphics co-processor, a higher number of cores (but slower) and 512 MB more RAM. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 and Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 have similar screens, because although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 800 x 1280 resolution, it also counts with a bit more pixels per screen inch.
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 takes better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7. Both of them have a same resolution back camera, the same video frame rate and the same (HD) video definition. Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a much better storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has a slot for an external memory card that supports 32 GB smaller, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 has just a little better battery duration than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has 5100mAh of battery capacity instead of 4450mAh.
In addition to being the best tablet in this comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is also a lot cheaper.
