Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a general score of 64.8, which is a little bit better than the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2's score of 62.6. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a thinner and somewhat lighter tablet device than the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, even though both of them were only released 3 months apart. Both tablets in this comparison review come with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab 7.7 has the newer 4.0.4 version while Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 has Android 4.0, counting with a couple nice extra features and optimized performance.

The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 has a greater camera than Galaxy Tab 7.7, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 video definition, the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 also has a back camera with way more mega-pixels. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a very superior memory to install games and applications than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because it has an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 32 GB and 64 GB internal storage.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 features superior battery lifetime than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because it has a 5100mAh battery size instead of 3960mAh.

Although Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 7.7, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, giving up a couple specs and features.
