The Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a global score of 64.8, which is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1's 62.7 general score. These devices include Android OS, but Galaxy Tab 7.7 has the newer 4.0.4 version and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has Android 4.0 version. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 design is lighter and somewhat thinner than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, although it was released just 13 months before.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 counts with just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 7.7, and although they both have a Dual-Core CPU and the same RAM memory amount, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 also has a faster graphics processor running at 400 MHz. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a better screen than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has a way smaller display, and they both have the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 also counts with a greater display pixels density.
Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a way bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 32 GB against 64 GB, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 features a really longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a 7000mAh battery capacity.

If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your savings.
