Galaxy Tab 7.7 has an overall score of 64.8, which is much better than Galaxy Tab's overall score of 58.6. These devices work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab 7.7 has the newer 4.0.4 version while Galaxy Tab has Android 2.3.3, so it provides the user some nice extra features. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a newer tablet, and it's also lighter and incredibly thinner than Galaxy Tab.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a quite better performance than Galaxy Tab, because it has 512 MB more RAM memory, a graphics processor and a greater number of cores. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with a much better looking display than Galaxy Tab, because it has a higher resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, a little larger screen and a just a little higher pixel quantity per inch of display.

Galaxy Tab takes clearer photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 7.7. Both have a same resolution camera, the same 720x480 video definition and the same video frame rates. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with a way bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has 32 GB more internal memory capacity.

The Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with improved battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab, because it has a 5100mAh battery capacity against 4000mAh.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Tab, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Tab. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab, resigning some features and specifications.
