The Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has a global score of 58.8, which is slightly better than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD's 57.6 general score. Both of these tablets come with Android OS, but Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has 4.0 version while Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version. Although it's the best in this review, it must be noted that it is also noticeably older, a lot heavier and just a bit thicker.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a slightly better display than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot greater screen pixels density and a way better resolution of 1200 x 1920px. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a little better performance than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, because it has a larger number of cores.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a greater camera than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, because it has a back camera with a lot better resolution and a much higher video quality. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a lot bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 128 GB.
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has superior battery performance than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because it has a 20 percent greater battery size.
