Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 is a bit better than Acer Iconia W510, with a 58.1 score against 57.5. Even though the Galaxy Tab 8.9 is older than the Acer Iconia W510, it's body is way lighter and a little thinner. Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with Android 3.0 operating system, and Acer Iconia W510 comes with Windows 8 operating system.
Acer Iconia W510 has a superior hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Acer Iconia W510 also has a graphics processing unit. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 has just a bit better looking screen than Acer Iconia W510, because although it has a little worse resolution of 800 x 1280px and a little smaller display, it also counts with a just a little higher number of pixels per screen inch.
Acer Iconia W510 captures much better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a back-facing camera with way more MP and a way higher video quality. Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a slightly bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Acer Iconia W510, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a much longer battery life than Acer Iconia W510, because it has a 6000mAh battery size instead of 3540mAh.
Although Galaxy Tab 8.9 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Acer Iconia W510, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Acer Iconia W510. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 8.9, else you can save some dollars and get the Acer Iconia W510, resigning a couple specifications.
