IPod Touch 5th Generation is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, getting a 62.7 score against 58.1. The iPod Touch 5th Generation is a newer device, and it is also noticeably lighter and incredibly thinner than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. IPod Touch 5th Generation has iOS 7.x OS, while Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0 OS.
The iPod Touch 5th Generation counts with a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the iPod Touch 5th Generation also has an additional graphics co-processor. IPod Touch 5th Generation features a better display than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because although it has a way smaller screen and a little lower 1136 x 640px resolution, it also counts with a way higher number of pixels per inch of display.
The Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation features a very superior camera than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a much higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and a much more mega-pixels back camera.
