Comparison review
Asus VivoTab Smart has a global score of 58.7, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 8.9's 58.1 overall score. Despite being the best in our current comparison, the Asus VivoTab Smart is a somewhat thicker and extremely heavier tablet than the Galaxy Tab 8.9. The Asus VivoTab Smart works with Windows 8 operating system, while Galaxy Tab 8.9 works with Android 3.0 operating system.
Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a little bit better screen than Asus VivoTab Smart, because although it has a little smaller screen and a little bit worse 800 x 1280 pixels resolution, it also counts with a little bit greater pixel amount in each display inch. Asus VivoTab Smart has as much memory to install applications and games as Galaxy Tab 8.9, both of them have exactly the same internal storage.
The Asus VivoTab Smart features a greater processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have 2 cpu cores, the Asus VivoTab Smart also has a GPU. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a superior battery performance than Asus VivoTab Smart. The Asus VivoTab Smart shoots much clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a back facing camera with a lot better 8 megapixels resolution and a way better 1920x1080 video resolution.
Although Asus VivoTab Smart is a better device, it costs a bit more than the Galaxy Tab 8.9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab 8.9. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Asus VivoTab Smart, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab 8.9, giving up some specs and features.
