The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 has an overall score of 62.6, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9's general score of 58.1. Both of these tablets work with Android operating system, but the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 has a more recent 4.0 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0, so it counts with a couple nice extra features. Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2's design is lighter but just a little bit thicker than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and they were released only a few months apart.

The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 features a slightly better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 also counts with a just a bit greater pixels count per inch of display. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a very superior storage capacity to store more games and applications than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because it has 32 GB more internal storage capacity.

Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 features a quite better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 also has a graphics co-processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a much longer battery lifetime than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity.

Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 features a greater camera than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution, the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 also has a much better resolution back camera.

Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 is a bit more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, but you can get a better tablet for that few extra dollars.
