Comparison review
Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a general score of 64.8, which is better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9's 58.1 general score. These tablets work with Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab 7.7 has newer 4.0.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0, so it provides you some nice extra features and performance enhancements. Even when the Galaxy Tab 7.7 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 were released only 5 months apart, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a bit thinner and a lot lighter.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has just a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has an additional graphics co-processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a little sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch in the screen.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7's camera is very similar to Galaxy Tab 8.9's camera, both of them have a same resolution back-facing camera, the same video quality and the same video frame rates. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a greater memory to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 32 GB.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a bit better battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has an 18% greater battery size.
Although Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab 8.9. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Galaxy Tab 8.9, letting go some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
