Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab is a little bit better than Galaxy Tab 8.9, getting a 58.6 score against 58.1. Even though the Galaxy Tab and the Galaxy Tab 8.9 were only released 7 months apart, the Galaxy Tab body is lighter but also much thicker. Both devices in this comparison review come with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab has the older 2.3.3 version and Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0.

Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a bit faster CPU than Galaxy Tab, because it has more 1000 MHz CPU cores. Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a slightly better looking display than Galaxy Tab, and although they both have a higher pixels quantity per inch of display, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 also has a better resolution of 800 x 1280 and a bigger screen.

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a lot bigger storage to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. Galaxy Tab shoots a little bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab 8.9. Both of them have the same resolution back-facing camera, the same video frame rate and the same 720x480 video definition.

Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a very superior battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has a 50 percent bigger battery capacity.

Even being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing here, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is also by far the cheapest one, making it very easy to pick between these devices.
