The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has an overall score of 75.2, which is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9's overall score of 58.1. Both devices in our current comparison work with Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has 4.4.2 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0 version. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4's construction is much newer, incredibly lighter and somewhat thinner than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features a very superior performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a higher number of cores and an additional GPU. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with a much better display than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a much greater screen density and a lot better 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 shoots way better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a back camera with a much higher 8 mega-pixels resolution and a lot higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a slightly bigger storage to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory.
Galaxy Tab 8.9 features superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity.
Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 costs a little more money than the Galaxy Tab 8.9, but you can get a much better tablet for that few more dollars.
