Apple iPad 2 is a bit better than Galaxy Tab A (2016), having a 62.1 score against 60.4. The Apple iPad 2 comes with iOS 7.x OS, and Galaxy Tab A (2016) works with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The Apple iPad 2 body has the same thickness than the Galaxy Tab A (2016), but it is heavier. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) counts with a bit faster processing unit than iPad 2, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with a greater number of cores and more RAM memory.
The Galaxy Tab A (2016) features just a bit better looking screen than Apple iPad 2, because although it has a much smaller display, it also counts with a lot greater amount of pixels per inch in the display and a bit higher 800 x 1280 resolution. The Apple iPad 2 features much more memory capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 56 GB more internal memory.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) shoots slightly better photographs and videos than iPad 2, and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) also has a camera with lot more mega-pixels. IPad 2 counts with a superior battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because it has a 74% larger battery capacity.
Although Apple iPad 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Tab A (2016), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab A (2016). So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Apple iPad 2, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab A (2016), giving up a couple specs and features.
