Although the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) is way newer than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, it is way thicker and much heavier. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) works with Android 8.1 Oreo OS, while Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation works with iOS 7.x OS.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) counts with a bit better performance than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores (and also faster).
