Google Pixel Slate has an overall score of 79.3, which is much better than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018)'s 68.3 global score. The Google Pixel Slate works with Chrome OS OS, while Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) comes with Android 8.1 Oreo OS. Google Pixel Slate has just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because although it has lesser cores , it also counts with 14 GB more RAM.
Google Pixel Slate has a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 224 GB more internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) features a much longer battery duration than Google Pixel Slate.

If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
