Although Google Pixel Slate is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018). If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
