The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has an overall score of 68.3, which is better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus's 60.8 global score. Both of these tablets use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has newer 8.1 Oreo version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has Android 4.1.2 version, providing the user a couple nice extra features and a performance increase. Although Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) is a little heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, it's thinner and extremely newer.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has just a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, because it has a larger number of cores (and faster) and more RAM memory. The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus counts with just a bit better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), although it has a quite worse display pixels density, a little smaller screen and a much lower 600 x 1024 resolution.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) counts with a way bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, and although they both have the same 32 GB internal storage, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) also has an external memory slot that allows up to 400 GB. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has a greater camera than Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, because it has a lot higher resolution camera in the back and a lot better (Full HD) video definition.
