The Galaxy Tab Active 3 is slightly better than the iPad Air, having a 79 score against 77.9. The Galaxy Tab Active 3 comes with Android 10 operating system, and iPad Air counts with iOS 8.x operating system. Galaxy Tab Active 3's body is way newer and lighter than the iPad Air's, although it's noticeably thicker.
The iPad Air counts with a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab Active 3, because although it has a little lower pixels amount per inch in the display, it also counts with a little bit higher resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels and a bigger screen. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 counts with a little better processing power than iPad Air, because although it has a 32 bits processing unit against 64-bits and doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with more CPU cores and a higher amount of RAM.
Galaxy Tab Active 3 counts with a much bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than iPad Air, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 1 TB. The iPad Air has a way better battery performance than Galaxy Tab Active 3, because it has a 75% larger battery capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 shoots clearer photographs and videos than iPad Air, because it has a camera in the back with lot more megapixels and a way better 3840x2160 video quality.
Although Galaxy Tab Active 3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the iPad Air, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as iPad Air. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Galaxy Tab Active 3, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the iPad Air, letting go some specs and features.
