The iPad Air counts with iOS 8.x operating system, and Galaxy Tab Active Pro counts with Android 9.0 Pie operating system. Although iPad Air is a lot older than the Galaxy Tab Active Pro, it's body is way lighter and incredibly thinner.
The Apple iPad Air has a bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab Active Pro, because although it has less and slower CPU cores and less RAM memory, it also counts with a 64-bits processor and an extra graphics processing unit.
