Comparison review

The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab, with a global score of 62.3 against 58.6. Both of these tablets have Android operating system, but Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has a more recent 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab has Android 2.3.3 version, so it offers a lot of extra features. The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 body is noticeably thinner and lighter than the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 features a much better performing processor than Galaxy Tab, because it has 1,5 GB more RAM, a graphics processing unit and a larger number of cores. The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 counts with a much better screen than Galaxy Tab, because it has a lot better resolution of 1920 x 1200px, a way higher number of pixels per inch in the display and a quite larger screen.

The Galaxy Tab features a much bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 32 GB internal storage capacity. Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 counts with just a bit longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab, because it has a 4060mAh battery capacity.

Galaxy Tab has just a bit better camera than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, although it has a lot less megapixels back-facing camera.

Although Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy Tab, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Galaxy Tab, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your savings.
