The Asus VivoTab Smart is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab, having a 58.7 score against 58.6. Asus VivoTab Smart's design is much heavier but somewhat thinner than Galaxy Tab. The Asus VivoTab Smart counts with Windows 8 OS, while Galaxy Tab comes with Android 2.3.3 OS. Asus VivoTab Smart features a bit better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because although it has a quite worse pixels density, it also counts with a really larger display and a better resolution of 768 x 1366 pixels.
The Asus VivoTab Smart has a better performing processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has a higher amount of RAM, more cores and an extra graphics processor. The Asus VivoTab Smart takes much better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab, because it has a back-facing camera with much more MP and a lot higher 1920x1080 video quality.
Asus VivoTab Smart features a way bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 32 GB more internal memory. Galaxy Tab features a superior battery life than Asus VivoTab Smart.
Although Asus VivoTab Smart is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Samsung Galaxy Tab, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Samsung Galaxy Tab, letting go some specs and features, but you will get the most with your budget.
