Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is a way newer and a lot thinner device than Galaxy Tab, although it is much heavier. Both devices in this comparison review include Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has newer 4.4.2 version while Galaxy Tab has Android 2.3.3 version, so it gives you a couple additional features and performance improvements.

Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) counts with a very superior performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has an additional graphics processing unit, a larger number of cores and a larger amount of RAM memory. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a much better screen than Galaxy Tab, because it has a lot better pixels amount per inch of screen, a much better resolution of 1600 x 2560px and a way larger screen.
