The iPad Air has an overall score of 77.9, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4's 74.5 general score. IPad Air works with iOS 8.x operating system, while Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has Android 4.4.2 operating system. IPad Air is an extremely heavier and somewhat thicker device than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4.
IPad Air has just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM and 6 lesser and slower processing cores, it also counts with a 64-bits CPU and an additional graphics processor. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a bit better screen than iPad Air, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a higher pixels density and a slightly higher resolution of 2560 x 1600px.
The iPad Air has a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, although it has a way worse 5 MP resolution back camera and a lower (Full HD) video quality. IPad Air features a lot bigger memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage.
