The Galaxy Tab S4 is a incredibly newer and just a little bit thinner device than the iPad Air, although it's just a little bit heavier. The iPad Air's processor is very similar to Galaxy Tab S4's processor, because although the iPad Air has 6 lesser and slower cores and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a graphics co-processor and a 64-bits processor.

Although Galaxy Tab S4 is a better device, it costs a little more money than iPad Air, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the iPad Air. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab S4, otherwise you can save some money and buy the iPad Air, resigning some specs and features.
