The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is a little bit better than Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi, getting a general score of 57.6 against 56.4. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD's design is thinner and lighter than Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi. Both devices in this review have Android OS, but the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a newer 6.0 Marshmallow version while Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi has Android 2.2 version.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a greater performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi, because it has more RAM memory and more CPU cores. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a bit more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi, because it has a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920, a lot greater number of pixels per inch in the display and a bit bigger screen.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a greater memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 128 GB.
