The Galaxy Note 8.0 is a lot better than the Sony Tablet P, getting a general score of 69.2 against 55.7. Both devices in our current comparison include Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Note 8.0 has newer 4.4.2 version and Sony Tablet P has Android 4.0.3, so it gives you a lot of extra features. The Galaxy Note 8.0 design is newer, a little lighter and thinner than Sony Tablet P.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 features a much better performing processor than Sony Tablet P, because it has an additional graphics processor, a higher number of faster cores and more RAM memory. Galaxy Note 8.0 features a little bit better looking screen than Sony Tablet P, because although it has a little worse amount of pixels per display inch, it also counts with a much larger screen and a much higher resolution of 800 x 1280.
Galaxy Note 8.0 features a way bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Tablet P, because it has 16 GB internal storage capacity and an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 64 GB. Galaxy Note 8.0 has a much better camera than Sony Tablet P. Both have the same video frame rates, the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality and a 5 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 features a very superior battery duration than Sony Tablet P, because it has 4600mAh of battery capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 costs a lot more than the Sony Tablet P, but you can get a much better tablet for that extra dollars.
