Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a general score of 62.7, which is better than Sony Tablet P's score of 55.7. These tablets work with Android OS, but Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has older 4.0 version and Sony Tablet P has Android 4.0.3 version. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a newer and incredibly thinner tablet than the Sony Tablet P, although it's also way heavier.

The Sony Tablet P has a little more vivid display than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has a really smaller screen and a way worse resolution of 480 x 1024px, it also counts with a better amount of pixels per inch of screen. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 counts with a much greater storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Tablet P, because it has a SD memory slot that admits up to 64 GB and 8 GB internal memory capacity.

The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a bit better processing unit than Sony Tablet P, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 also has an extra graphics co-processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 features a very superior battery duration than Sony Tablet P, because it has a 7000mAh battery capacity.

Sony Tablet P features a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has a way better resolution camera.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Sony Tablet P, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Sony Tablet P. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Sony Tablet P, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your savings.
