Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has a general score of 60.8, which is just a bit better than Sony Tablet P's score of 55.7. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is a just a little bit lighter and extremely thinner tablet than the Sony Tablet P, although both were released with only a few months difference. These tablets use Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has a newer 4.1.2 version and Sony Tablet P has Android 4.0.3 version, offering some extra features.

The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has a little better performance than Sony Tablet P. Both have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores. The Sony Tablet P features a little bit better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, because although it has a little lower resolution of 480 x 1024 pixels and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a quite greater count of pixels in each inch in the display.

The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus features a much bigger memory for apps and games than Sony Tablet P, because it has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 64 GB and 28 GB more internal storage. The Sony Tablet P has a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Sony Tablet P also has a camera in the back with way more megapixels.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Sony Tablet P, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Sony Tablet P. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Sony Tablet P, and give up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
