Comparison review

Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a general score of 64.8, which is better than the Sony Tablet P's 55.7 general score. Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a just a little lighter and notably thinner tablet than the Sony Tablet P, even when they were released with only 4 months difference. Both of these tablets include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab 7.7 has the newer 4.0.4 version while Sony Tablet P has Android 4.0.3.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a little faster processing unit than Sony Tablet P, and although they both have a 1 GB RAM and a Dual-Core processor, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has an extra graphics co-processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a bit more vivid display than Sony Tablet P, because although it has a little bit less pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a way larger screen and a much higher resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels.

Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a very superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Tablet P, and although they both have a SD card slot that allows up to 32 GB, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has 64 GB internal storage capacity. Sony Tablet P features just a bit better camera than Galaxy Tab 7.7, and although they both have the same (HD) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Sony Tablet P also has a way better 5 mega-pixels resolution back camera.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a very superior battery lifetime than Sony Tablet P, because it has 5100mAh of battery capacity against 3080mAh.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Sony Tablet P, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Sony Tablet P. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Sony Tablet P, resigning a couple features and specs.
