Comparison review

Galaxy Tab 8.9 is a little bit better than Sony Tablet P, getting a 58.1 score against 55.7. These tablets have Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab 8.9 has an older 3.0 version and Sony Tablet P has Android 4.0.3. Although the Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Sony Tablet P were released with only 1 months difference, Galaxy Tab 8.9's construction is heavier but also a lot thinner than Sony Tablet P.

Sony Tablet P counts with a little faster CPU than Galaxy Tab 8.9. Both have a Dual-Core CPU. Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a little bit better display than Sony Tablet P, because although it has a little worse pixels density, it also counts with a much larger screen and a much higher resolution of 800 x 1280px.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a much greater memory to store more games and applications than Sony Tablet P, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage. Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a very superior battery life than Sony Tablet P, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity.

The Sony Tablet P shoots a bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 video resolution, the Sony Tablet P also has a camera with a lot better resolution.

Although Galaxy Tab 8.9 is a better device, it costs more than the Sony Tablet P, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Sony Tablet P. If you prefer to save some money, you can get Sony Tablet P, letting go some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
