Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has a global score of 58.8, which is just a bit better than Sony Tablet P's general score of 55.7. Both devices in our current comparison have Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has older 4.0 version and Sony Tablet P has Android 4.0.3 version. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE construction is much thinner but heavier than the Sony Tablet P, and both were released only a couple of months apart.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has just a bit better performance than Sony Tablet P. Both have the same number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE counts with a slightly better screen than Sony Tablet P, because although it has a just a little lower pixel density, it also counts with a really larger display and a much better 800 x 1280 resolution.

Sony Tablet P has a slightly better camera than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition, the Sony Tablet P also has a way better 5 megapixels resolution camera in the back. Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE counts with a bigger storage to store more apps and games than Sony Tablet P, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal memory.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has a very superior battery duration than Sony Tablet P, because it has a 98 percent bigger battery capacity.
