The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is a bit better than the Sony Tablet P, getting a overall score of 57.6 against 55.7. Both devices in this review have Android OS, but the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has the newer 6.0 Marshmallow version and Sony Tablet P has Android 4.0.3 version, so it gives some additional features and performance improvements. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is a way newer tablet, and it is also just a bit lighter and noticeably thinner than Sony Tablet P.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a superior processing unit than Sony Tablet P, because it has more CPU cores and a larger amount of RAM. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a bit better screen than Sony Tablet P, because it has a lot higher 1200 x 1920 resolution, a better pixels density and a really larger screen.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with much more storage for games and applications than Sony Tablet P, because it has more internal storage and an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a way better battery duration than Sony Tablet P, because it has 5100mAh of battery capacity against 3080mAh.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD shoots a lot better videos and photos than Sony Tablet P, because it has a lot better video definition and a lot more MP back-facing camera.
