Comparison review
The iPad Air has a general score of 77.9, which is better than the Xperia Tablet Z's overall score of 68.5. The iPad Air construction is newer and just a bit lighter, but also just a bit thicker than Xperia Tablet Z. IPad Air has iOS 8.x operating system, and Xperia Tablet Z comes with Android 4.4.4 operating system.
The iPad Air counts with a bit better display than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly higher 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution and a bit higher quantity of pixels in each inch in the screen. IPad Air features a superior storage for games and applications than Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.
Apple iPad Air features a bit better performance than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM memory and an inferior number of cores, it also counts with a much better graphics processing unit running at 600 megahertz and a 64 bits processor. The iPad Air counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because it has an 8820mAh battery size against 6000mAh.
The Apple iPad Air captures much clearer photos and videos than Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a lower (Full HD) video definition and a camera in the back with a lot lower 5 megapixels resolution.
Despite of being the best tablet of the ones we are comparing, Apple iPad Air is also by far the cheapest.
